I really hope everyone is doing okay and staying safe. With everything that is going on in the world and in our cities, I know it’s just been a lot. It's been a whirlwind for me hence this late playlist that's mad late and crossing over two months.
Some of you may know that I lost my grandfather earlier this month which has been a lot to go through but I’m here. My family is doing okay for everyone that reached out. We ended up having to travel back home to Oklahoma during a PANDEMIC (which is wild to even experience). We stayed there for some time despite the craziness. It was nice to get away and be with family during this time. Even though my grandfather is gone. There was constant reminders of him all around that was super comforting during my stay there. Small moments I knew he would have enjoyed. I'm super thankful for him and really glad we got to see him last January. This trip was mad hard but it was necessary. We are gonna be okay and I'm gonna be okay. He would have wanted us to continue on and find happiness.
This playlist is honestly just a bunch of songs that has been weighing on my heart for the last month or so. I named it overtime - maybe as more of a double entendre. Like overtime means you are not out of the game yet and you have more time to do what you gotta do to win and over time as in things will get better over time. Either one applies. I hope you enjoy. It’s gotta last y'all for the next month till August.
