JANUARY PLAYLIST 2.1

Why hello there,

We are now in 2018! Wow. Like it was literally 2017 yesterday!!! Okay, okay I had to get all of my corniest out of the way before I started my whole monologue. Honestly, I had a lot of qualms about even doing the playlists this year and writing blog posts. This whole thing started as way for me to deal with a rough patch I had right around this time of year last year. This turned into a thing that has also allowed me to design something new for myself each month and curate some dope music.  Even though I have like 5 followers, I have really enjoyed doing it every month last year soooooooo WE ARE HERE! PLAYLIST 2.1, IN FULL SWING!

Of course, this is the time of year everyone is making unrealistic goals, looking back on the year and thinking how awful 2017 was. I thought 2017 was gonna be as bad as 2016 and for some reason I try to conform to everyone’s thinking that 2017 was as bad but for me it really wasn’t. I had a really good year! I mean I graduated, had a bomb party, left the country, had an amazing time with my sister in Milan and London, went to A LOT of concerts, found a job, freelanced my butt off, and that’s just to name a few. Okay, yes. There were some bad times, not gonna lie. Biggest one last year, I almost lost my grandmother. But she’s here though and I have to be thankful to Jehovah everyday that she is here with us. She further my sentiment of her being the strongest woman I know besides my mama.  After that, I had a great year. It was a transitional one at that but I think I proved a lot things for myself and I needed that.

Okay, look forward now. I am so excited for 2018. Cause I have so many ideas floating around in my head that I need to execute. I honestly can’t give away too much cause ask anybody that know me, I love the element of surprise. I think goals are what drive me and the people I keep around me. I think its okay to dream big and strive for the “unrealistic” cause even though you may not complete it this year, you worked towards and grew more in the process. I’m excited for what to come cause just know it’s gonna be the bee’s knees. I want to grow even more as a designer. Even though I finished school, I want to learn. A good friend of mine has suggested to even do youtube tutorials each day of something I don’t know how to do. At first, I thought this was silly but I don’t know everything and it can help me build off what I do already know and be a better designer. There’s a lot I want to do. I want to be a better friend this year. I want to travel more. Honestly, I could go into all my goals but I’ll save y’all from the reading. Just promise me this year to make goals, strive to accomplish them and help your friends to reach their’s as well. That’s my biggest one this year for me, to help others as well.

This playlist is called La Suivant which google translated means “The Next”. The playlist is all music I’ve been vibing to lately. Found a few cool artists in the past couple of weeks that I wanted to share with my peeps. Enjoy. Enjoy. Enjoy.
